If you visit the campus, chances are you’ll run into Leslie Pilkington: She’s everywhere! “I believe God called me to this job because I genuinely enjoy people and have a heart to help them," says Leslie. Her main job is booking all rooms on campus, coordinating outside events (graduations, local school events, etc.) master calendaring, equipment rental, and basically to help keep things running smoothly.
She writes, “Hospitality consists of a crew of people, paid and volunteer, to assist with events. As director, I get to keep track of all the details for your event, coordinate with all other departments, coordinate with outside vendors and make sure someone is here to address needs that may arise— from heating and air, to snacks, and even doing the laundry."
If you ask her about the favorite part of her job, she’s likely to tell you about the people we minister to— like seeing the joy on a bride’s face when she walks into her reception and is pleased, or helping the wife of the deceased work through her sorrow and handle the memorial reception for her, or maybe watching 1000 men eat breakfast that we prepared– WOW.
Leslie was born in Silver City, New Mexico, and is married to Gary. They have two children, a son and a daughter. In her spare time, she loves to work in the yard and enjoys all kinds of outdoor activities. Her favorite? Traveling to other countries!
