So, why are we here?

Our reason for ministry is to lead God’s people in worship and, at the same time, encourage participants to be pastoral musicians and artists— committed followers of Jesus who have a pastor’s heart for the folks they serve. One of our goals is that people involved in the ministry will live out the biblical truths through the week that they help illustrate on Sundays. Worship isn’t just a Sunday thing, it’s a whole life thing! We also think of our ministry not so much as a program, but more as a means to connect people to God through the arts.

At FOPC, we believe that worship is the purpose of the church. We also believe that the source of a church’s spirituality comes from its encounter with Christ in worship: Evangelism, missions, and discipleship, all vital to a healthy, growing New Testament church, grow out of vital, healthy worship. Our heart’s desire is to use music and the dramatic arts, with skill and joy, to support that truth.
